TL;DR

Selena Gomez went viral for her reaction to Chris Brown's nomination at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she was seen scrunching up her face at his name and then clapping for the other artists in the category. Gomez responded to the moment on Instagram, stating that she would rather be herself than be dragged as a meme. The reaction likely stems from Brown's 2009 assault of Rihanna. Brown, on the other hand, responded by saying, "Let me mind my business."
