Peacock Unveils Price Hike to Counter Losses

NBCUniversal's streaming platform, Peacock, is raising its prices for the first time since its launch in 2020. Existing subscribers will see a $1 increase to $5.99 per month for the Premium service, while the Premium Plus tier will rise by $2 to $11.99 per month. The price change, affecting both existing and new customers, comes as Peacock's subscriber figures reach nearly 22 million, up 60% YoY. The increase will allow Peacock to invest in user experience and content quality while remaining competitive. Other streaming platforms, including Paramount+ and Warner Bros. Discovery's Max, have also raised their prices recently.
