TL;DR
Geena Davis recalls finding Renee in Netflix’s retirement‑village sci‑fi The Boroughs as the “perfect” role, only for the series to be canceled after one season with no explicit explanation. The interview covers the on‑screen romance with Carlos Miranda, the show’s status in Emmy contention, and Davis’s ongoing work with her Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media.
