No illnesses have been reported, and the affected product has been removed from shelves. The tamales were sold in nine states, and customers are advised to return them for a full refund. The recall was prompted by a consumer complaint, and Texas Tamale Company expressed regret for any inconvenience caused. Trader Joe's has previously recalled other products, including multigrain crackers, cookies, prepared soup, and falafel.
