Sony Increases PlayStation Plus Prices, Up to $40 Annually

Sony is increasing the prices of its PlayStation Plus Premium subscription by up to $40 annually, with the price adjustment applying to all tiers under the 12-month subscription. The Essential subscription will jump to $80, the Extra plan to $135, and the Premium tier to $160. Sony stated that the price increase will enable them to continue offering high-quality games and value-added benefits to subscribers. This comes after Microsoft's recent increase in the subscription price for its Xbox Game Pass.
