"Long-lost Family: Holocaust Orphan Reunited After 80 Years"

Ann Meddin Hellman, who believed her father's family was erased in the Holocaust, discovered an 83-year-old second cousin, Shalom Koray, through a DNA test offered by MyHeritage. Koray, a Holocaust survivor rescued as a child, was found abandoned in the Warsaw Ghetto and immigrated to Israel in 1949. The discovery has opened a new chapter in their family's history, and they plan to reunite in person this summer, surrounded by other family members, after maintaining regular communication through video conferencing and language translation tools.
