This comes after Chicago began impounding buses carrying migrants, citing a new ordinance. Abbott's office stated that the flight arrived in Chicago on Tuesday night with about 100 passengers who had signed consent forms. The city of Chicago is now working to find shelter for the asylum seekers. Abbott has previously bused over 75,500 migrants to six cities, causing political clashes and strained resources. Despite criticism, Abbott's office has stated that they will continue transporting migrants to Chicago.
