Global Protests Demand Ceasefire in Gaza and End to Israeli Bombing

Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters gathered in Washington D.C., New York, London, and other cities to demand a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war. The demonstrations come as the death toll in Gaza surpasses 9,200 and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejects calls for a "humanitarian pause" in the fighting. Protesters called for an end to Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip and criticized President Biden's support for Israel's war effort. The rallies also highlighted the growing divide between the Democratic Party and Arab Americans and young voters. Similar protests took place in New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Istanbul, and Ankara.
