"Ukrainian Drone Strikes Escalate Tensions in Russia-Ukraine Conflict"

A Ukrainian drone attacked the town of Kurchatov in western Russia, near the Kursk nuclear power station, causing damage to a building but no reported damage to the power plant. The Kursk power station, which has the same type of reactors as the Chernobyl plant, currently has three operational reactors. Another drone was shot down near Moscow, briefly disrupting flights, and a third drone was shot down in the region of Belgorod. Russia and Ukraine have previously accused each other of plotting attacks on nuclear power stations.
