Putin faces ICC arrest warrant for Ukraine war crimes.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin for war crimes related to the alleged abduction of children from Ukraine. The ICC also issued a warrant for the arrest of Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Office of the President of the Russian Federation, on similar allegations. The ICC has no police force of its own to enforce warrants, so it will be up to the international community to enforce them. Russia does not recognize the court’s jurisdiction, and Ukraine is not a member of the court.
