Missing Oldham Teen Found Safe in France After Six Years

A 17-year-old English boy, Alex Batty, who went missing in Spain in 2017, has been found in France. He was discovered in the town of Revel and taken to a police station by a concerned motorist. Alex claimed to have been in France for two years and appeared to be in good health. His grandmother, who is his legal guardian, had previously believed that Alex's mother and grandfather had taken him to live with a spiritual community in Morocco. The boy was found walking along a road in the Pyrenees and expressed a desire to set his own path. He is currently in the care of social services, and British police have been informed.
