Deadly tornado outbreak ravages Mississippi and Alabama.

An unusual and powerful tornado in Mississippi has left at least 25 people dead, with search and rescue efforts continuing. The tornado, estimated to have lasted over an hour, was caused by a supercell storm and was classified as a "wedge tornado" due to its visible width. Night-time tornadoes can be twice as deadly as those that occur during the day, partly because they are hard to see coming.
