Biden Criticizes Trump Amid Conviction Fallout and MAGA Backlash
TL;DR
President Biden referred to Donald Trump as a "convicted felon" for the first time during a fundraiser in Greenwich, Connecticut, accusing Trump of running for president to preserve his freedoms. Biden argued that Trump poses a greater threat in a potential second term, seeking revenge for his 2020 defeat and subsequent criminal indictments. The Trump campaign, bolstered by a recent guilty verdict, has seen a significant influx of donations, raising $141 million in May. In response, a senior Trump adviser accused Biden of trying to distract from Hunter Biden's federal gun trial.
