"California AG links Florida state and vendor to migrant flight 'scheme' in Sacramento"

California Attorney General Rob Bonta said that two flights carrying 36 migrants from Texas to Sacramento in recent days are part of the same "scheme" by the state of Florida. The flights are part of "the same official policy of the state of Florida whereby the state of Florida used public tax dollars to fund this program, the so-called voluntary transportation program," Bonta told KCRA 3's Edie Lambert. Bonta said the state is doing a full investigation to identify what the asylum seekers were told and are analyzing whether the facts support criminal or civil actions against Florida officials or workers at private vendors hired as part of the operation. Possible criminal charges could include kidnapping.
