DeSantis and Trump Duel in Iowa as Caucuses Loom
TL;DR
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis completes a milestone in his presidential campaign by visiting all 99 counties in Iowa, while former President Donald Trump focuses his attacks on President Biden during dueling rallies in the state. Trump accuses Biden of "destroying American democracy" and pledges to appoint a special prosecutor to go after him if he wins the presidency in 2024. Meanwhile, DeSantis criticizes Trump's campaign promises and response to the COVID-19 pandemic, positioning himself as a servant rather than a ruler. The choice to focus on Biden instead of the ongoing Republican primary is notable, as Trump mentions DeSantis only briefly.
