DeSantis Denies VP Role, Leaves Door Open for 2028 Run
TL;DR
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis dismissed speculation about being Donald Trump's vice president, attributing attacks from Trump's allies to bitter ex-staffers and criticizing conservative media's coverage of the former president. DeSantis ruled out being Trump's running mate and criticized the vetting process, while not ruling out a 2028 presidential run. He also expressed frustration with conservative media's lack of critical coverage of Trump and suggested that some of Trump's inner circle have an "ax to grind" due to being fired by him in the past.
