Donald Trump's Defamation Lawsuit Against CNN Dismissed

A federal judge has dismissed Donald Trump's defamation lawsuit against CNN, in which he claimed that the network's references to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election as "the Big Lie" were comparable to comparing him to Adolf Hitler. The judge ruled that the references were opinions and not factual statements, and it was unlikely that viewers would connect Trump's election challenges to Nazi propaganda or Hitler's regime. Trump had sought punitive damages of $475 million in the lawsuit.
