Evette, Wilson to face off in South Carolina GOP governor runoff
TL;DR
South Carolina's six-candidate GOP gubernatorial primary failed to produce a majority winner, sending Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette to a June 23 runoff with Attorney General Alan Wilson. Trump and Governor Henry McMaster endorsed Evette, while Nancy Mace endorsed Wilson after conceding. With Democrats unlikely to win in November, the GOP runoff keeps the contest competitive heading into fall.
