Fox News Faces Defamation Trial Over Dominion Voting Lawsuit

Dominion Voting Systems' $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox News over lies broadcasted in 2020 about the election tech company goes to trial next week in Delaware. The trial will determine whether Fox and its executives are liable for broadcasting the lies and whether $1.6 billion is a realistic amount to ask for. Dominion claims it has lost $16 million in profits, more than $70 million in potential business, $14 million in legal, security and other expenses, and more than $900 million in value due to the conspiracy theories tied to the 2020 election. Fox News calls Dominion's claims a money grab and says its reporting is protected by the First Amendment.
