California Governor Gavin Newsom's hour-long interview with Fox News commentator Sean Hannity was an opportunity for Newsom to introduce himself to red America and move beyond the caricature of him as "Gov. French Laundry." Newsom countered Hannity's partisan questions with facts and even showed humility when called out for California's abysmal record on homelessness. Hannity offered to moderate a debate between Newsom and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, to which Newsom agreed.
