Senate Judiciary Committee to Subpoena Harlan Crow, Leonard Leo and Wealthy Figures in SCOTUS Ethics Investigation

Democrats are seeking detailed information about the gifts received by Thomas and are pushing for disclosure rules on the court similar to those for members of Congress. Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has indicated that the court will take action to demonstrate its adherence to high standards of conduct. Three other justices have also expressed support for a formal ethics policy.
