Anthony Davis Favors Borrego Over Redick for Lakers HC
TL;DR
The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly close to hiring JJ Redick as their next head coach, despite Anthony Davis's preference for New Orleans Pelicans assistant James Borrego. Redick's lack of coaching experience is offset by his strong relationship with LeBron James and his potential as a coach. Borrego, who has previous head coaching experience and a good relationship with Davis, recently impressed the Lakers in an interview. The decision is crucial as Davis's buy-in is important for the franchise's future.
