Balogun's one-game ban stands ahead of USA's Belgium clash
TL;DR
FIFA upheld a one‑game suspension for USA striker Folarin Balogun following his controversial red card against Bosnia and Herzegovina; Balogun says the foul was unintentional and will miss Monday's game vs Belgium, though he could return for the quarterfinals if the U.S. advances. The ruling cannot be appealed, and the incident has sparked calls from former players for red-card rule changes.
