Buffalo hosts Bruins in Game 1 as Sabres chase first playoff win since 2011

The Buffalo Sabres open their first-round playoff series at home against the Boston Bruins, with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen starting in goal and Noah Ostlund out with an injury. Buffalo will roll with the same lines from practice, placing Jordan Greenway and Josh Dunne on the fourth line and keeping Logan Stanley-Conor Timmins on the third pair. The Bruins, led by a physically minded approach, will rely on goalie Jeremy Swayman as Buffalo aims to capitalize in a slower, low-event game. Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m. for Game 1, with TV coverage on MSG (local) and ESPN (national), streaming on Gotham Sports App/Fubo TV, and radio on WGR 550 / the Sabres App. Fans can attend the Sabrehood Block Party and are encouraged to use the NFTA Metro-rail; Sabres.com/Playoffs provides all fan info and coverage, including several feature stories about the series.
