Cardinals Cut Colt McCoy, Leaving Kyler Murray as Starting Quarterback
TL;DR
The Arizona Cardinals have made the tough decision to release veteran quarterback Colt McCoy, despite his expected Week 1 starting nod. General manager Monti Ossenfort and head coach Jonathan Gannon felt it was the best move for the team as they continue to shape their vision for the franchise. McCoy's release leaves the Cardinals with options like Josh Dobbs or rookie Clayton Tune to fill the quarterback position.
