Cavaliers Fire Coach J.B. Bickerstaff After Five Seasons Despite Playoff Success
TL;DR
The Cleveland Cavaliers have fired head coach J.B. Bickerstaff despite the team's steady progress and back-to-back playoff appearances. Bickerstaff, who helped the Cavs navigate numerous injuries and achieve their best postseason performance without LeBron James in over 30 years, was dismissed following their elimination by the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals. The move has sparked speculation about potential major changes for the team, including efforts to secure a long-term contract extension for All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell.
