TL;DR

The Cleveland Cavaliers have fired head coach J.B. Bickerstaff after 4 1/2 seasons, despite leading the team to its first playoff series win since 2018. Bickerstaff's tenure saw three postseason appearances and 170 regular-season wins, but internal doubts about his strategies and game management, along with key player injuries, contributed to his dismissal. Golden State Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson and New Orleans assistant James Borrego are considered leading candidates to replace him.
