Cowboys Hire Parker, Set Sights on Nakobe Dean from the Eagles
TL;DR
Dallas hired Christian Parker, a top defensive coordinator candidate from the Eagles, signaling a bold shift and hoping Parker’s Philadelphia ties can help lure Nakobe Dean to Dallas to upgrade a thin linebacking corps. Dean, 25, posted a 92.3 pass-rush grade (third among qualified LBs) with four sacks in 10 games in 2025 and would be a long-term cornerstone, though Philadelphia’s cap constraints and a potential 2025 first-round replacement in Jihaad Campbell complicate the pursuit.
