Daniels’ Camp Denies Heisman Return Request as LSU Negotiations Continue
TL;DR
Contradictory reports persist: Daniels' camp says neither he nor his representatives asked LSU to return the 2023 Heisman Trophy, while other sources claim such a request was made; ESPN published a cease-and-desist over use of his name and likeness, amid LSU’s ongoing jersey-number discussions and a promised retirement that has not yet been fulfilled. Daniels, Burrow, and Pickett remain connected to the situation, with Daniels urging private resolution and focusing on football.
