TL;DR

The Dodgers acquired Tarik Skubal from Detroit for outfielder Zyhir Hope and right-handers River Ryan and Brady Smith, earning an A+ for L.A. and a B for Detroit. Skubal, a two-time Cy Young winner, boosts the Dodgers’ playoff rotation alongside Yamamoto, Ohtani, and Snell, while Detroit pockets a strong prospect package (including top-50 prospects) to fuel a rebuild, weighing immediate impact against long-term upside.
