TL;DR
After two seasons in Dallas, Klay Thompson was bought out and is expected to sign with the Miami Heat once he clears waivers. He averaged 11.7 points per game last season and shot 38.3% from three as a reserve, a drop from his 21.9 ppg and 41.2% 3-point shooting with Golden State in 2022-23, as the Heat pursue continued championship contention while adding another veteran scorer.
