OT heartbreak as USA crowns Olympic gold over Canada
TL;DR
USA defeated Canada 2-1 in overtime to win Olympic gold in a game where Canada outshot the U.S. 42-28 and controlled play for much of the action, but couldn’t convert on key power plays; Crosby was out injured, and Connor Hellebuyck made 41 saves as Canada earns its first silver since 1994, despite a strong effort.
