TL;DR

Colorado bolsters its center depth by acquiring Nicolas Roy from the Maple Leafs in exchange for a conditional 2027 first-round pick and a conditional 2026 fifth-round pick, with a cap-friendly $3 million salary and Roy likely stepping in as Colorado's No. 3 center and key penalty-killer; Toronto gains draft capital to aid a rebuilding push, including an additional potential unprotected first if the 2027 pick lands in the top 10.
