Turkey edges USMNT with stoppage-time winner to finish World Cup group play
TL;DR
Turkey defeated the USMNT 3-2 on a stoppage-time goal by Kaan Ayhan, capping a dramatic group-stage finale. Berhalter’s 49th-minute equalizer and Christian Pulisic’s late impact offered positives, but defensive depth and late drama defined the night, leaving the Americans to face Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Round of 32.
