Anker Introduces MagGo: Expanding Qi2 Wireless Charging Beyond Apple

The first wireless charging devices that support the Qi2 wireless charging standard, which features Apple MagSafe-like technology, have been announced. Qi2 promises a secure and more efficient wireless charge with the help of magnets. While it is unclear which smartphones will support Qi2, there is hope that it will make it easier to charge Android phones with a secure magnetic connection. The new standard will expand the number of chargers that can power Android and iOS devices wirelessly. Qi2 also aims to enable wireless charging for new product categories such as tablets and smartwatches.
