Apple Seeks Supreme Court Intervention in Epic Legal Battle

Apple has requested that the Supreme Court overturn a judge's order in its ongoing legal battle with Epic Games. The lawsuit began when Epic attempted to circumvent Apple's platform fees by introducing a direct payment option in Fortnite, resulting in the game's removal from the App Store. While Apple has largely prevailed in the case so far, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Apple could no longer restrict developers from including links to external payment options. Apple argues that the Ninth Circuit overreached in issuing a nationwide injunction, and Epic has the option to appeal to the Supreme Court as well.
