Musk believes that charging a fee would deter bot creators, as the cost of creating and maintaining bots would become significantly higher. He did not disclose the exact cost of the subscription but referred to it as a "small amount of money." X currently has 550 million monthly users, but it is unclear if this figure includes automated accounts. Musk has been pushing for users to subscribe to X Premium, a paid subscription service, but it has not gained significant traction among users.
