Elon Musk's X Introduces $1 Annual Fee for Users to Post on Platform

Elon Musk's social network X, formerly known as Twitter, has started testing a new subscription tier called "Not A Bot" in the Philippines and New Zealand, which will charge users $1 per year. Users on this plan will be able to post content, like, reply, repost, and bookmark posts, while those who don't pay the fee will have read-only access. Musk believes this small fee will deter bot accounts and reduce spam and manipulation on the platform. The move comes after Musk took over as CEO of Twitter, renamed it as X, and implemented mass layoffs.
