Epic Games' Lawsuit Victories Shake Up App Store Industry

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney attributes the different outcomes in the legal battles against Google and Apple to the fact that "Apple didn't write anything down." Sweeney points out that Google's violation of the law and deletion of records during the trial were astonishing, while Apple's antitrust actions were internal and not documented. Sweeney believes that Apple's restrictions on competition should receive as much scrutiny as Google's. In its battle with Apple, Epic Games lost nine out of ten counts and Apple has filed an appeal to reverse the one count it lost.
