France Takes Action: iPhone 12 Sales Halted Over High Radiation Levels

The Agence Nationale des Fréquences (ANFR) has requested that Apple remove iPhone 12 devices from the French market due to their high radiofrequency (RF) radiation levels, which exceed the permitted absorption limit for the human body. The agency found that the SAR value for limbs on the iPhone 12 is 5.74 W/kg, surpassing the 4.0 W/kg limit by 43.5%. ANFR demands that Apple takes action to make the devices compliant with European regulations or face a forced recall. Apple may be able to reduce SAR levels through a software or firmware update.
