Google Launches Gemini AI App for iPhone, Eyes OpenAI Rivalry

Google has launched its Gemini AI chatbot app for iPhone, aiming to increase accessibility and user engagement by placing the app directly on users' homescreens. The app, which mirrors the Gemini section of the Google app, allows users to interact with the bot via text, voice, or camera. It introduces Gemini Live, a more interactive chat mode similar to ChatGPT's voice mode, now available for iPhone users. While the app can't change settings or access non-Google apps, it integrates with Google services like YouTube Music and Google Maps.
