Microsoft announced that it will charge at least 53% more for access to new artificial intelligence (AI) features in its office software, including an AI copilot in Microsoft 365 that can draft emails, pen documents, and make data accessible via a chatbot. The company also unveiled a more secure version of its Bing search engine, called Bing Chat Enterprise, which aims to address data protection concerns and compete with Google. The enterprise version of Bing will not allow viewing or saving of user data, requiring employees to log in with work credentials for protection. Microsoft's push for Bing may help gain search advertising share from Google and attract customers to its AI upgrade, Microsoft 365 Copilot.
