OpenAI Expands ChatGPT to Mac and Windows with App Integrations

OpenAI has introduced a new feature for its ChatGPT desktop app on macOS, allowing it to read code from certain developer-focused apps like VS Code and Xcode. This feature, called Work with Apps, enables developers to send code directly to ChatGPT without copying and pasting, although it cannot yet write code directly into these apps. The feature is part of OpenAI's efforts to develop agentic systems and is currently available to Plus and Teams users, with plans to expand to other app types and platforms.
