OpenAI's DALL-E 3 Empowers Artists with Opt-Out Training

OpenAI has announced the release of Dall-E 3, the latest version of its text-to-image tool. Available to ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise customers in October, Dall-E 3 utilizes OpenAI's AI chatbot, ChatGPT, to generate detailed and accurate images based on user prompts. The tool includes safeguards to limit the generation of violent, adult, or hateful content, as well as declining requests for images of public figures or in the style of living artists. OpenAI's competitors in the text-to-image AI space include Alibaba's Tongyi Wanxiang, Midjourney, and Stability AI. However, concerns around AI-generated images and copyright issues persist, with OpenAI facing lawsuits from authors alleging unlawful training of ChatGPT on their work.
