Qualcomm has provided a preview of its upcoming Snapdragon X Elite laptop SoC, showcasing its benchmark performance. The Snapdragon X Elite, featuring Qualcomm's custom Arm CPU core called Oryon, aims to compete with Intel, AMD, and Apple chips in the Windows laptop market. The benchmark results demonstrated that the Snapdragon X Elite outperformed some of its competitors in single-threaded and multi-threaded performance, GPU performance, and AI tasks. However, the comparison is limited as it only includes Qualcomm's own data and lacks third-party performance comparisons. The Snapdragon X Elite is expected to be released in mid-2024.
