Sonos 27 brings portable surrounds, voice features, and AI-powered control

Sonos rebrands its software as Sonos 27 and announces four features launching this fall: portable surrounds that turn two portable speakers into wireless rear surrounds; personal listening with headphone linking to move audio between Sonos Ace Ultra headphones and compatible speakers; a new voice experience called Sonos 27voice for natural, in-home voice requests; and Sonos MCP, enabling AI-powered control via large language models. The announcements arrive alongside two new hardware products, the Ace Ultra headphones and Beam Ultra soundbar.
