Microsoft has proposed a restructured deal to address concerns raised by the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) regarding its acquisition of Activision. Under the new deal, Microsoft will not purchase the cloud gaming rights held by Activision, which will instead be sold to Ubisoft. This ensures that Microsoft does not control cloud gaming rights for Activision's content, preventing it from limiting access to the games or withholding them from rivals. The CMA has provisionally concluded that the remedies offered by Microsoft should address its residual concerns, and a consultation is now open until October 6th.
