70-year-old Ugandan woman defies odds, gives birth to twins

A 70-year-old woman in Uganda has given birth to twins, using a donor egg and her partner's sperm for the IVF procedure. The babies were born prematurely at 31 weeks and are currently in incubators, but in good health. The mother expressed her joy at the "miracle" of having twins at her age, but also voiced dismay that her partner has not visited her since the delivery. This follows a similar case in 2019 when a 73-year-old Indian woman gave birth to twins through IVF.
