UN probe flags possible U.S. war crimes in Iran airstrikes, including Minab school

A UN-backed fact-finding mission says there are reasonable grounds to believe the United States committed war crimes in two February airstrikes in Iran, including an attack on the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab that killed civilians, and another strike on a Lamerd sports complex. The report cites at least 178 civilian deaths and characterizes the strikes as indiscriminate, while noting ongoing violence by Iran’s security forces and alleged crimes against humanity by the Iranian government. U.S. Central Command denies responsibility, and White House, State Department and Pentagon officials did not immediately comment.
