Post-Pretoria realignments push Tigray back toward conflict

Four years after the Pretoria peace deal, the war in Ethiopia's Tigray officially ended but political and territorial disputes persist; the TPLF has rebuilt influence, formed new ties with Eritrea, and joined a loose anti-government coalition called Tsimdo, while renewed clashes, incomplete disarmament and about 1.9 million displaced show that Pretoria did not settle the power struggle or the civilians' fear of renewed mobilization.
